When a young Sacramento family started searching for a new home, they sought a “fixer upper” with their ideal layout to be customized to become their dream home.

While the overall layout did not change, the flooring was replaced, paint refreshed, and the stair railing updated to glass. In the great room, the ceiling was coffered to bring in new texture and interest to the high space. Throughout the home niches were filled in and light fixtures changed. New custom furniture, chosen and customized by BDC’s Erin Bierce, now dwell in this remodeled home.

In the kitchen, a post was cleared from the middle of the space. Soffits were removed to make room for full-height cabinets. The updated backsplash and countertops add glam and sophistication.

The master suite was also given a facelift as niches were filled, the fireplace revamped, and the bathroom completely gutted.
